Thank you so much for coming to our school yesterday, it was very interesting to hear all about your inspirations and your fantastic trilogy! I have read 'The Thirteen Treasures' and I loved it! It was so imaginative. I am starting 'The Thirteen Curses' now and I can't wait to find out what happens!

04 February 2011Hi michelle I entered the charm bracelet competition a few days ago and I haven't got an email to confirm I entered. I am afraid I might have put in the wrong email address by accident for the competition. are we supposed to get an email to confirm we have entered or not? I'm really afraid that someone else might have gotten my email instead and that I won't know if I've won it or become a runner up or not. have you received my entry? thanks. Kate
Hi Kate, yes, you're supposed to get an email to confirm it arrived, but I've been away on tour so I'm behind with emails. To make things worse the email server is currently down, but I've just checked, and there's an entry from a Kate in Galway, Ireland. (You haven't put your surname on the comments page, so I won't either, but the entry I have begins with a G.)

03 February 2011Hello Michelle thanks for coming to our school today, it was really interesting and the book sounds great! My friend, who is into mysterious things (i.e fairies) said the book, 13 Curses was really good: i had bought it for her for her birthday but she already owned it!
I have entered the competition, really exciting, but my entry is quite short. It makes me sound really evil, but it is not supposed to be me, it is supposed to be some evil person!

It was a pleasure - thanks for being part of a great audience, I really enjoyed it.
Don't worry about it being short - quality matters more than quantity - or about appearing evil: this evening I did an event with an author whose book was about a serial killer, written from the killer's point of view! Part of being a writer is imagining what it's like to be someone else - and that sometimes involves evil people!
03 February 2011I entered my compotition entry and when it had all the info at the bottom of what i entered it didn't have paragraphs! I was just making sure it has paragraphs when you read it because i did put some in!

Don't worry - it's just the way it displays after it's been sent. The actual email still has all its paragraphs.
