Hi Rebecca, check out The Crowfield Curse by Pat Walsh. I really enjoyed it - it's a three book series, and as well as being a mystery it uses some of the same mythology as my books: Seelie/Unseelie fays, and the most adorable little hob ever!

20 February 2011Hi! I have just finished the 13 Secrets and it was amazing! Was that the last book about Red, Tanya and Fabian? What are you writing next?
Also where do you get your ideas form? I know stuff like changelings is anciet folklore but what about other things like the coven and catcombes and the whole menecing atmostphere?

Hi, thanks! The Coven is just something I made up. I found out that it's an old word meaning 'gathering' just as it describes in the book, and it fit what I wanted to do with the story. All your other questions are answered on the Books page, see the Q&A and the 13 Treasures page.

I know that you always say that you will have the results out by the end of February, but I am on holiday for the half term and I have to pay for the Internet so PLEASE can you be a little bit more specific so that I know when to spend my pocket money on the Internet. Thanks Jess xx PS this 20p is running out so I will have to beg my brother for some more money!!!
Results are now up. When I say I can't be specific about exact dates for results etc, it's because I don't want to create an expectation to then disappoint. It only takes one urgent email from my agent/publisher for me to have to drop everything to work on something unexpected. This is on top of writing, answering mail, having another job (and having a life outside that of being an author). I will, however, always post comp results as quickly as I'm able to.

I can't help you I'm afraid! I tell my web designer what I want it to look like and he makes it happen, but I have no idea how. It's all gobbledygook to me. I think there are some web programs you can find online to build your own though - good luck!
